The Head of Finance, Amber Premium Singapore has the overall responsibility for the running of all the finance related activities of the Company. This will include business planning, budgeting, forecasting and leading the Finance team to establish financial objectives, policies & procedures which ensure the company of a continuously sound financial structure and ensure compliance with Singapore's Financial Reporting Standards and Financial Regulatory Requirements.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Leadership

  • Act as a strategic advisory role to the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership team on all financial & tax matters with implications, if any on business activities; identify commercial needs and seek full range of business solutions.
  • Ensure healthy liquidity by managing monthly cash flow projection and through effective credit control to manage sustainable working capital.
  • Lead company's financing efforts and ensure the business maintains an optimized capital structure;
  • Identify and establish cost management strategies and lead the budgetary planning process to establish the Company and department level budgets.

Operational Leadership

  • Lead the Finance team to provide monthly and quarterly financial performance reports; covering operating revenues and expenses, as well as detailed analyses of key business drivers, to enable the line management to make sound business and operational decisions, and to ensure best practice systems and control.
  • Manage the annual audit exercise; review and improve internal controls and other accounting policies.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, bankers, tax agent, corporate secretary and relevant government authorities on all financial matters
  • Responsible for internal controls, policies and procedures related to financial reporting and compliance; ensure integrity and soundness over financial transactions and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, and applicable accounting standards, as well as related regulatory reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of accounting reports, audited reports, tax returns and GST filing
  • Responsible for group consolidation and financial / management reporting functions.
  • Participate and provide financial advices in new product launches including fund structuring, opening bank accounts, and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism to ensure a healthy cash flow forecast.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA and/or MBA preferred;
  • At least 15 years of financial and accounting experience in a management or leadership role with experience working with digital assets; familiar with the local regulatory reporting, financial controls as well as finance functions;
  • Strong finance-based analytical skills with experience in strategic planning;
  • A natural leader who displays integrity, humility and responsibility, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • A strong mentor and coach who can build high performing teams.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to implement new ideas and opportunities aligned; with the company’s long-term strategic goals;
  • Ability to empathise and collaborate with stakeholders across functions and at all levels of experience;
