Amber is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Trading Assistant to join our global Flow Trading team. This junior position is critical in ensuring the seamless execution of our daily operations. The successful candidate will work closely with our Sales Traders to manage the post-trade lifecycle, maintain accurate reporting, and ensure all trades are booked within our risk management frameworks.
Responsibilities
Trade Support: Assist Sales Traders in the daily management of trade bookings, ensuring all transactions (Exchange and OTC) are recorded accurately and timely.
Reporting & Reconciliation: Generate daily and/or monthly P&L reports, reconcile positions between internal systems and external counterparties/exchanges, and investigate any discrepancies.
Settlement Oversight: Coordinate with the Middle and Back Office teams to ensure the smooth settlement of digital asset transactions and fiat transfers.
Market Monitoring: Assist the desk by monitoring market data, tracking liquidity across various venues, and providing administrative support during high-volatility periods.
Compliance & Risk: Ensure all trading activities adhere to the company’s internal risk limits and regulatory requirements.
Process Automation: Utilize technical skills to improve existing spreadsheets, automate manual reporting tasks, and streamline the trade lifecycle.
Operational Flexibility: Ability to work on morning/night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the 24/7 nature of the crypto market.
Requirements
Degree holder or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business-related disciplines.
At least 2 years of experience in the financial sector or banking (Middle Office, Trade Support, or Operations experience is highly preferred).
A genuine interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology; familiarity with how crypto exchanges and wallets operate is a significant plus.
Exceptional attention to detail with a "zero-mistake" mindset regarding data entry and trade booking.
Ability to maintain composure and accuracy in a high-pressure, fast-paced trading environment.
Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin to collaborate with our global team and regional counterparties.
